Wind power coupling has multiple roles in wind power generation system . First of all, the main role of the wind power coupling is to transfer the rotating power of the wind turbine to the generator to produce electrical energy . In addition, it can also play a role in protecting the mechanical equipment when the generator fails, disassembly or replacement, to avoid irreversible damage to the mechanical equipment .
The diaphragm coupling of the wind turbine is generally composed of an expansion sleeve, an elastic diaphragm, an intermediate cylinder and a torque limiter.
Expansion sleeve: connecting gear box output shaft and generator input shaft;
Brake disc: with high-speed shaft brake, the main function of the brake impeller;
Elastic diaphragm: compensates the small deviation, angular, axial and radial displacement of the unit during operation;
Intermediate cylinder: transfer torque to achieve electrical insulation between the gearbox and the generator;
Torque limiter: Through friction slippage, it can offset the excessive load of the unit to achieve overload protection.
